Located in one of Australia’s harshest and most remote deserts, the mine site has an astronomical annual gold production of 459,000 attributable ounces and can process 2.5 million tonnes of ore a year. The treatment plant consists of a crushing and grinding facility and a carbon-in- pulp (CIP) circuit.
IMR provides the Granites with a range of services including mill relining and specialised tooling for the site.
In addition, IMR have delivered many recommendations with a view to improving operability and minimising on site risk – all of which have been implemented by our partner.
There is a high degree of technical capability required on this site with schedulers managing multiple contractors and concurrent processes. IMR retains the experience and flexibility to deliver on time within any scope of works.
Nui Phao – Vietnam
Located in the north west of Vietnam in rough terrain jungle, the Nui Phao project is a polymetallic deposit, with an initial Ore Reserve of 53Mt. The site has been defined to contain; tungsten, fluorite, bismuth and copper mineralisation.
Mine production is designed to produce 3.5 Mtpa of ore for a multi-stream processing plant, the mine is a leading global producer of tungsten and acid-grade fluorspar.
IMR have been maintaining and continuously improving upon the mill services delivered at the site for many years.
IMR assists Nui Phao management to maintain processing targets by managing multiple concurrent relines in an operational environment. This role is the critical path for a wide range of maintenance and shutdown services.
Masbate Gold Project – Philippines
Located on the Northern tip of Masbate Island (Philippines) this remote mine site has a process plant that is a conventional carbon-in-leach (CIL) facility consisting of primary crushing, SAG/Ball Mill grinding circuit with pebble crushing, leaching, absorption, elution, electrowinning and smelting gold recovery stages; and a cyanide detoxification stage for treating process plant tails before disposal in a new tailings storage facility (TSF).
The site recently produced an annual record of 206,224 ounces of gold for 2016.
This is above the mid-point of the sites revised production guidance range (200,000 to 210,000 ounces) and significantly exceeds its initial guidance range (of 175,000 to 185,000 ounces).
IMR have been providing customised services to this project since site inception. We play a recognised role in ensuring the sites efficient running and improved processing turnover.
We have worked with management to design and implement customised-cost effective approaches to maintenance programs without sacrificing quality. This includes in-depth training of local staff and has enabled the site to operate with reduced expenditures throughout a local economic downturn.
We are proud that through our partnership and practical influence on the safety of the operational environment, the site has won a golden rule standards award for safety.
Martabe – Indonesia
Located in Northern Sumatra the mine produces more than 300,000 oz of
Gold and 2-3 million oz of Silver annually. The plant consists of a crushing &
stockpile ore reclaim area, grinding & classification, leaching (CIL) &
absorption, carbon desorption & regeneration, cyanide detoxification, tailings
storage facility and a clean water polishing plant.
IMR provides mill relining and specialised maintenance services for the site with a view to continuous improvement of safety and efficiency.
Martabe requires regular concurrent SAG and Ball Mill Relines with IMR running the critical path for the shutdown.
We work closely with the Martabe Processing Management Team to set, meet and exceed annual production and safety goals.
